The Song that sums up my highschool years and the way I do not want to die.

This song written for my birthday by a highschool friend, Chase. It does really well to sum up all my fun highschool memories. Probably only 1/4 of my readership will actually understand it, but hey you want to know more about Taleah's highschool years? This is a little sneak peak into it.

However it is rather ironic that I die in it, (the ironicness is because this song is for my birthday. a day of celebrating my life.) I had to call the writer just to make sure that he really didn't want to kill me. Turns out our composer just watches the show Dexter to much

They don't look alike. I think I am okay chase won't kill me...hopefully.

No any way. the notes from the writer were:
"Your original song, very cleverly named... 'Original Song'
I wrote this while on pain meds... wisdom teeth are bitches."

I only wish I knew how to let the music play so all could hear the twistedness of it and the not transcribed bridge part. interesting

<<< LYRICS >>>

An original song is hard to come by
All the chords are just the same; the lyrics cold and dry, oh
But once in awhile there is a muse that I can use
And the amusing thing about this, is that it happens to be you, oh

Like puzzle pieces we used to fit just right;
But you've gone and went away, now the fit is not as tight.
You come and visit once in awhile, now and again
But I remember you, and I remember when:

You asked my name, said I looked lame, and made fun of my hair,
Said, "not to be mean, have you heard of jeans, might want to get a pair."
Not to be rash, but that mustache; it looks disgusting on your face.
you're a little disgrace!

Many thoughts of you I seem to recall well,
Studying underneath the tree, talkin' like the pimpernel
"Here and there, those frenchies seek him everywere"
Is he in heaven or in hell *gasp* that scarlet pimpernel?

The way I adore you, way that I bore you, the way you don't even look at me
The way that I'm talking, starin' and gaulkin, only for your self-esteem
Thought attraction was actual, friendliness factual, how gullible and naïve.
What a stupid thing, a stupid thing to believe…

Not to be dramatic but nothing is left the same
You're not the person anymore, in my picture frame
And if I can't have you; I do not want to share
So for what's about to happen you might want to prepare…

For I'll pull out my rope, not the one with soap, but it's deadly and tight
I'll knock you out, so you don't shout, and you don't put up a fight.
Faster than lightin, the rope is tightnin, and there goes your air
The moment I dread, you layin' there dead, oh! grief and despair

An original girl is hard to come by
I have a cord around your neck; your body cold and dry, oh
But once in awhile there is a noose that I can use
And the nuisance 'bout this, is that it happens to be you, oh

One deadly jump for a spider one big step for Taleah

So today I had my first biology test it was kinda nerve racking because I didn't know what to really expect. I studied. I knew the material, but college teachers don't usually make multiple choice easy. It was a tad confusing and a lot of 'double answers' (stupid buffers!)

Any way I was glad to be done so I kinda wanted to relax a bit before tonight when I start the homework process again and sell my soul to the organic chemistry devil. (I do not believe in selling of souls. It happens, but my soul belongs to Jesus). SO I was chillin in my room watching Spin City. I decided that I would eat in my room because I was a tad to lazy to go the cafe and also I have an abundance of food in my room.

**REWIND**
This morning as I got ready for the day I for some reason looked up to my ceiling and saw that there was a spider. I thought to myself 'hmm a spider, it should die' but I didn't do anything about it because I still had to learn the properties of all the functional groups.
**FASTFORWARD**

So I decided to eat a healthful cup of chedder cup o' noodles and watch another episode of SPin City. As I finished the cup o' noodles I noticed that there was something black on my leg. For a second I thought it was a ball of black string because the night before i was sewing a nursing patch onto my roomate's scrubs (I love my roomate and try to take care of her) so I thought that it was just leftover thread. I did remember thought that I threw away the leftovers and that there should be no thread fuzz on me. As i focused i saw that it was mr. spider.

I didn't scream, I didn't jump. I just thought of the best way to kill him and kill him I did. I brushed him off my leg, with my bare hand and then made him jump off the carpet and then I squashed him. (I didn't want to get spider guts in my carpet)
It was easy and simple and i have no remorse or fear.

So good bye little jumping spider.
you will take no more jumps
especially onto my pants
because i will squash you
dead

Why Union is Amazing

Sabbath school has been a new and interesting experience. We do a different format it is an active christianity jump off point. Where we brainstorm and make differences. ONe of the things that we have done is raise money for our fellow in students in need and people in our community. We have had 4 Sabbaths and have raised so much money for our fellow brothers and sisters, I am so amazed. However it just hasn't stuck with Sabbath School it has been put in practice throughout the college.

THe most amazing part though is last night during vespers the college chaplain introduced one of the students and explained what situation he was in. Seth is from Ghana and is able to study here from a scholarship. However his mom needs heart surgery and there is no money to pay for it and he doesn't know he is going to come up with it. He needed about $4000 to do pay for the surgury. So Pastor Rich asked if a couple people could come up and lay there hands on Seth as Pastor Rich prayed for for Seth. About 25 kids came up and supported Seth and we prayed for him. THen after prayer one of our professors Chris Blake said 'pass a hat around'. It was kinda interesting because you never think that you would here taht during friday night vespers. THen all the cowboy hats, baseball hats came off and those who had them became deacons and we took up an offering. At the end of vespers we had $2300 for Seth's mom it was amazing.

During Sabbath School this morning during our own money ministries time Pastor Rich came up and told us of God's blessings. A student, I am going to emphasize STUDENT, came up to him and gave him a check for $1000 because the student realized that Seth's mom needed it more then he did. Other students also came up giving checks of $100 and $200 how amazing is that?

We raised $4300 dollars for Seth's mom, in less than 24 hours. God always takes care of us. Union is a place where we are family and we take care of eachother. There is no other place like this one. THis is place where when once dark times turn to light because we help eachother and care for one another. I am just so amazed that union can be that place where people allow God to work through them. I don't want to give it up ever.

my overactive imagination

Sometimes I'm ridiculous. Actually sometimes I am very ridiculous however must people don't know that because I don't share with them my thoughts. OH if God made us that whatever we thought we said out loud the world would think that I'm an over active drama queen and not be my friend.

I just want to let everyone know that even though I have an over active imagination I'm not really a drama queen. I do enjoy drama, but I don't live for drama. And I don't have gay boy drama like what you find on your typical One Tree Hill episode or Gossip Girl.

So today I was walking down the stairs and I had a vision that I fell down them and broke my ankle so bad that the bone was popping out and then I was stuck in the stair well with blood squirting everywhere until someone came and helped me out.

Now just to let you know. I don't think myself as a gore person. It is more comical accidents and funny blood squirting everywhere (and it is always red corn syrup, never the stuff with a pH of 7.2-7.4) Maybe it is because I've watched to many Leslie nielsen movies, maybe it is because I love watching corny fake gore shows.

Any way. Sometimes i have those moments, I dont' know why. HOwever I just want the world to know that I don't wish these things to ever happen because that would be a lot of money in hospital bills and a lot of hours in the hospital. no bueno.

have a great day. and becareful where you step.
